Our campaign is about making humans feel SEEN and reminding them kindness exists. This initiative is more about connecting with humans that feel forgotten, less than or invisible, than it is about giving them free gifts.
This initiative isn't only for the unhoused, it's for HUMANITY. No matter how you label people around you, one thing you should never take away from them is their HUMANITY. There are a lot of humans walking around carrying the weight of things we cannot imagine.. sometimes a simple smile and conversation can do more than you know.

MY "WHY":
"When I was 12, I was a child living in poverty. We lived in a house infested with rats, roaches that had no heat. We washed our clothes by hand and hung them out to dry on the clothesline. I had holes on the bottoms of my shoes, had no winter coat and my clothes were often dirty. Did we have a roof over our head, yes, but did I need help during the cold months? Yes. I remember warming up in front of the stove before walking to school one morning with nothing but a sweater on. I remember poverty.. not all people in need are unhoused." - Bex / Founder
HOW IT STARTED:
I introduced my daughter to philanthropy at a young age. While I was employed at the YMCA, I organized many fundraising initiatives for their "Open Doors Program" dating back to the early 2000's. In 2009, I organized "On a Mission for the Mission" where we collected hygiene items for the Nashville Rescue Mission. That event was a HUGE success so we took extra items directly to the people in need. We met a man that was SO EXCITED to get a brand new Titans coat, he told us they needed backpacks because at night the rats chew through their bags. Immediately after, We followed it up the next month with "The Backpack & Blanket Drive". My daughter and her friends helped pass out the items directly to those in need. We snapped this picture to capture the moment!

Now, we have the Good Human Campaign. An organization created to simply remind humans that kindness exists. Our goal is to create a community where compassion is the norm and every individual can play a part in making the world a little better. We’re here to keep it real and HUMAN.

We are not a nonprofit organization. We are a mother and daughter that just wants to do what we can to make this world a little better. Not only for us but for the community around us. Every initiative we do is only possible with the help and support of the GOOD HUMANS around us. Every small donation adds up.

disclaimer: We don't do our community initiatives for photo ops, "clout" or attention of any kind. We rarely have photographers around and if we do, it's only to document so our supporters can see their donations being used as intended. We are not only respectful but we try to keep their identity private unless granted permission otherwise.
