This year, we did LOVE DAY on Feb 10th to celebrate the life of a FVSU alum and one of our President's best friends, D-Lo. D-Lo lost his life in a tragic car accident days before Karina Chanelle Birthday last September and his birthday was 3 days before Valentines Day. The loss tremendously affected her so she wanted this Love Day to be dedicated to him.
The giveback took place at Fort Valley State University campus with the help of some FVSU football players! We filled ziplock bags with some treats, attached a greeting card and set out to give out free goodie bags to our campus Valentines!
This is an annual giveback that we do to remind people they are loved... even if no one else tells them, we will!
This giveback was in honor of D'Angelo "D-Lo" Strickland.
